Questions To Ask When Hiring A Roofer

We recently sat down with our special guest, Bobby Dickerson of Trademark Exteriors, to find out what kinds of questions you should be asking when you’re looking to hire a new roofer. Whether you’re looking to replace a whole roof or just get some maintenance work done, Bobby had some insight to offer from the roofer’s perspective.

1. ARE YOU LICENSED?

This is one of the most important questions you should be asking your roofer. Not only should you ask if they’re licensed, but you should find out what that license number is. The Construction Industries Board oversees this information for the state of Oklahoma, and you can visit their website at cib.ok.gov. Once there, you can enter in that license number and it will verify whether or not that license is still valid and that the name attached to that license matches the information provided by your potential roofer.
